Heroku launches Connect, a service for syncing its platform with Salesforce

More than three years after cloud platform Heroku joined forces with Salesforce, the two companies have integrated their respective products. Heroku today launched Heroku Connect, a new service that syncs data from its customers’ cloud applications with their Salesforce CRM databases. Connect acts as go-between for consumer-facing Heroku, which powers app experiences like Lyft and Urban Dictionary, and Salesforce’s enterprise backend. Heroku released the beta for the service last year at the Dreamforce developer conference. Adam Gross, Heroku’s VP of Product, described Connect as a sort of Dropbox for the enterprise because it syncs data over the cloud across devices....
