Time Warner Cable makes its internet six times faster in Charlotte in response to Google Fiber

A little bit of competition can go a long way. After Google announced it would bring its Fiber Gigabit internet service to Charlotte, NC, Time Warner Cable is fighting back by making its fastest internet service in the region six times faster for no extra cost. The speed increases per plan tier are as follows: Standard: 15Mbps to 50Mbps Extreme: 30Mbps to 200Mbps Ultimate: 50Mbps to 300Mbps Unfortunately, the change only applies to the Charlotte Area.
