Sky’s 3D channel will close on June 9, all content moving to on-demand

UK broadcaster Sky has confirmed that it will be closing its dedicated 3D channel next month. From June 9, customers wanting to access Sky’s 3D content will only be able to do so via its on-demand channels. To this end, there will be a new 3D segment in the Sky Box Sets, Movies, Store and TV Guide sections. Sky isn’t the first broadcaster to scale back its 3D ambitions.
