Steam kills paid mods for Skyrim after user backlash

Last week, Steam launched the ability for developers to build mods that could be sold on the Workshop. The first game to get the new feature was Skyrim, with more to come in the future. Unfortunately for the company, that didn’t go down well. Users responded with a very vocal backlash about the functionality, even going as far as making the top mod on the store a protest about paid mods.
