Skype is introducing a new video messaging app for Android, iOS and Windows Phone called Skype Qik. As its name implies, the app is centered around sharing short, spontaneous clips. Taking a cue from ephemeral messaging apps such as Snapchat, each video clips lasts exactly two weeks – quite a long time, compared to some of its rivals – and videos can be erased by the sender at any moment, regardless of whether the recipients have watched it yet.
