Delhi rejects Uber’s license application after its month-long ban last year
Things are not looking good for Uber’s Delhi presence. The company’s license application has been rejected by the Delhi government, with the city’s Transport Department citing that Uber failed to declare that it was complying with the conditions set after its month-long ban last December. Uber was banned in the Indian capital after an Uber driver allegedly raped a female passenger. Other on-demand taxi apps were also denied licenses to operate, including Mumbai-based OlaCabs and Taxi4Sure.
