CarPlay now supports automaker car apps and wireless

Apple’s Craig Federighi announced brand new features for Apple’s CarPlay as part of the Worldwide Developers Conference keynote.  CarPlay is Apple’s way of making it safe to use your iPhone in the car. CarPlay features Siri voice control designed for driving scenarios. It works with your car’s controls — knobs, buttons, or touchscreen. CarPlay now supports apps from car manufacturers that allow you to control app-based car features  No cars currently support wireless mode as yet, but it’s there when they do. CarPlay will work wirelessly, in future cars — it requires a USB connection at the moment. developing…
