Apple announces Swift 2, will be open sourced
Apple today at its WWDC event announced a big update to its new Swift development language, which brings it to version 2. A number of enhancements to the language are planned, adding Objective-C generics, a faster debug mode, C function pointer APIs and more. It’s also going to make available a migrator tool to move developers from version 1.2 to 2.0 easily, despite the fundamental changes to the language.
