iMessage is down for some users

Twitter is buzzing with news that iMessage is down for some users. I’m currently can not send an iMessage message via OS X and on the ¡Phone it reverts to text messaging to send messages that have failed to send. Apple’s support page for online services currently notes that iMessage is working. Developing
