Scotland gets its own ‘.scot’ top level domain

Scotland has become the latest country to be awarded with its very own top-level domain. The Scottish Government and Scottish businesses first expressed interest in launching a .scot domain back in 2011. It is hoped that businesses in Scotland will be able to adopt .scot to show their allegiance to their country, as opposed to using options such as .com and .co.uk.
