Here’s the real story of a fake logo in HBO’s ‘Silicon Valley’

If you haven’t caught it yet, HBO’s ‘Silicon Valley‘ is a fantastic satirical take on the state of San Francisco’s startup culture. One of the show’s fictitious companies, Hooli, is a sprawling giant that resembles Google. Now the designer of its logo, Dan Petty, has published the concept decks he sent to ‘Silicon Valley’ creator Mike Judge, back in August 2014. My personal favorites are the mockups of Hooli’s search engine, which looks a lot like Bing.
