If you’re not a fan of Skype’s desktop app, you can now use the company’s new Web app regardless of where you live.

Skype’s Web app is free to use and as of today works with Chrome OS and Linux, in addition to Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari and Firefox on Windows and OS X.

Just two weeks ago Microsoft expanded the beta to include the US/UK, but today is dropping those restrictions.

The new app utilizes WebRTC so that you don’t need to install any plugins to get it working — just allow the site permission to use your webcam and microphone and you’re good to go.
