Sony launches €299 Xperia M4 Aqua with Android Lollipop and octa-core processor

Sony has today launched a new mid-range smartphone dubbed the Xperia M4 Aqua, and yes, it’s fully waterproof, as you might expect with a name like that. Aside from its water-repellent capabilities, the device comes with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera (with F2.0 aperture lens), octa-core processor, 5-megapixel selfie snapper and a claimed two-day battery life. Like some of the other Xperia models, it has cap-free waterproofing, meaning you don’t need to remember to close off your microUSB connector and the device should still be fine if it takes an accidental short dip.
