Twitter is reportedly prepping a new ad strategy for third-party apps and sites

So here you thought because you were wise enough not to get involved with Twitter, you would also escape the long arm of its advertising schemes. The joke may be on you. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Twitter, in a presentation to media buyers at CES, is planning to rope even non-users of its service into a new ad strategy. This involves selling ads embedded within tweets on third-party publishers’ sites and apps wherein Twitter would split the ad revenue with those publishers. The idea is that Twitter already gets a huge number of eyeballs outside of it…
