Twitter adds native animated GIF support to Twitter.com, Android and iPhone

Twitter now lets you share and view animated GIFs on Twitter.com, as well as its official Android and iPhone apps. While animated GIFs have been supported on the service before, it required you to use the third-party service Giphy. With today’s update, you can bypass that completely and upload directly from your PC, laptop, smartphone or tablet.
